The 74HC138 is a digital electronic device that can accept 3-bit binary input and output an active low output signal. It is an active-low device, meaning that the selected output pin will provide low voltage while the remaining output pins will stay high.

This is a high-speed CMOS device and has multiple enable pins which allow ease of cascading to further extend its operating input and output lines.
